Position Summary

 

DynaGrid Construction Group is seeking a Field Safety Representative to join our Safety Department and support construction operations across our projects.

 

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with construction experience who is interested in developing a career in safety. Extensive safety experience is not required. We are looking for individuals who understand the construction environment, demonstrate good judgment and personal accountability, communicate well with others, and are eager to learn DynaGrid's safety processes and expectations.

 

The Field Safety Representative will work alongside experienced safety professionals, project leadership, supervisors, and field employees while developing the knowledge and skills necessary to become an effective construction safety professional.

 

This is a field-based traveling position. Candidates must be willing to accept assignments in any state where DynaGrid has an active project and may be assigned away from home for extended periods.

Responsibilities  

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

 

Under the direction and mentorship of DynaGrid Safety leadership, the Field Safety Representative will:

 

• Conduct routine job site safety inspections and observations.

 

• Learn to identify construction hazards, unsafe conditions, and unsafe work

 

practices.

 

• Work with field supervision and Safety leadership to address identified hazards and

 

corrective actions.

 

• Coach employees on safe work practices and DynaGrid safety expectations.

 

• Assist with monitoring compliance with DynaGrid safety policies, client

 

requirements, and applicable OSHA regulations.

 

• Participate in pre-job planning, Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs/JSAs), and other hazard assessment activities.

 

• Assist with toolbox talks, safety meetings, new-hire orientations, and other safety

 

training.

 

• Monitor the proper selection and use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

 

• Develop knowledge of construction hazards involving fall protection, ladders,

 

scaffolds, excavation and trenching, electrical work, mobile equipment, material

 

handling, and other field operations.

 

• Assist experienced Safety personnel with incident, injury, property damage, and

 

near-miss investigations.

 

• Learn DynaGrid's incident investigation and root-cause analysis processes.

 

• Maintain accurate inspection, training, incident, and corrective-action

 

documentation.

 

• Follow up on identified safety deficiencies and corrective actions.

 

• Communicate safety concerns to field supervision and Safety leadership.

 

• Participate in project and client safety meetings as assigned.

 

• Maintain a consistent and visible presence in the field.

 

• Build productive working relationships with employees, supervisors,

 

subcontractors, and project leadership.

 

• Participate in company-provided safety training and professional development.

 

• Perform other safety-related duties as assigned.



Minimum Qualifications

 

• High school diploma or GED.
